Inter Dominion History​

The Inter Dominion Championship is a jewel in Australasia’s harness racing crown. First held in 1936, the Inter Dominion is one of the most time-honoured events and has captured the attention of the racing industry and fans from around the world. The series has traditionally been hosted on rotation from state-to-state in Australia as well as New Zealand.

A true test of stamina with three rounds of heats into a final, the Grand Circuit event features some of the finest domestic and international horses. Australian pacer Blacks A Fake has been the most successful horse in the history of the event having won four finals in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010.
